Barbara Ann Lehrmann

Barbara Ann Fondren Lehrmann, 82, of Mart, TX, passed from this life into Heaven to meet our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, with loved ones by her side.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. at Littlepage Funeral Home, 711 East Texas Avenue, Mart, TX 76664. Pastor David Moore, a longtime family friend, will officiate the service.

A private burial will take place at a later date.

Barbara was born June 6, 1943, in Ruston, Louisiana, to Damus Dudley “Jack” Fondren and Doris Evelyn Hill Fondren. She attended school in Ruston, LA, and Corrigan, TX. On March 16, 1957, she married Curtis Jordan of Corrigan, TX, and they shared 38 years of marriage. Together they had three children: Michael Eugene, Jacquelyn Michelle, and Angela Kay. Barbara was blessed with nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. On December 27, 2008, she married Kenneth Lehrmann of Mart, TX, and gained three daughters: Karen, Gina, and Denise, along with their children and grandchildren. Barbara and Kenneth were married for 17 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

To know her was to love her. Barbara accepted Christ as her Savior and was a lifelong, dedicated believer. She was a member of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, TX, for many years, later attending Parkview Baptist Church in Waco, TX, and Mart Baptist Church in Mart, TX, with Kenneth. Her faith was central to her life, and she hoped everyone would come to know and love Jesus as she did. She served faithfully in many roles, including piano player, WMA leader, VBS coordinator, camp sponsor, and head of the cooking committee. She and her family were also active in cleaning and upkeep of the church.

Barbara welcomed everyone into her home with love and a smile and always sought to be a blessing to her family, church, and community. She was full of life, laughter, and always ready for adventure. She especially enjoyed trips to the beach, where she found peace in the waves and ocean’s beauty. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, crocheting, playing piano, and crafting.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Damus Dudley “Jack” and Doris Evelyn Hill Fondren; grandparents Clarence and Nettie Hill and Damus and Myrtle Fondren; aunts Nell Bryant, Bernice Fondren, and Evelyn Fondren; and uncles Mac Hill, Cecil Hill, CJ Hill, Bill Hill, and Mac Fondren.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Lehrmann and daughters; Gina, Karen and Denise of Mart, TX; children Michael Jordan of Corrigan, TX; Jacquelyn “Jackie” Granger and husband Kenny of Brookeland, TX; Angela Westerman and husband Dennis of Lorena, TX; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother Billy Fondren and wife Jan; aunt Bobby Hill; cousins Dee Edwards, Donna Hill, and Lisa Bryant; and longtime friend Belinda Ener and family.
